chapter 5

That night Holden went to dinner and hung out with his friends ackley and mal.  They ate hamburgers and played pinball and after they came home holden wrote stradlers composition for him. He wrote it about his brothers baseball glove when he was supposed to write it about a room.

chapter 4

Holden is talking to his friend stradler and he figures out that his date for the night is one of his old friends. Holden freaks out with excitment and starts asking a bunch of questions and starts talking all about their history.

chapter 2

Ok so holden is at his history teachers house and they're talking about holden's schooling and grades and stuff.  then his teacher pulls out an old essay and starts reading and asks holden about him flunking him history class.

I've read this book when I was in 7th grade I think and I didn't really understand it.  But so far the main character's name is Holden Caulfield.  He's sixteen and getting kicked out of this private school Pencey prep. Appearently he hates it there.

So I decided to stop reading Invisible Man. It was just too sad! And I couldn't even follow what the narrator was talking about half the time.  So as of now I'm looking for a new book.  Today I read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.  I've already read this book about 4 times so I need to find a new book fast!

chapter 1

This chapter was a bit confusing and hard to follow but the nameless narrator talks about fighting in a ring...and then getting beat up and money was involved but I don't know if I can read this book anymore because it getting hard to follow 

chapter 7-the lord's prayer

David talks about his parents splitting up and how much he really hated his mother and father and just his whole life.  Kids at school would make fun of him, his family hated him and he had no hope.  Honestly I don't know how he managed to survive.

chapter 6-while father is away

David talks about the time his mother started being really nice to him out of no where.  She also came up with new torture devices like a freezing water bath.  The reason she was being nice out of no where was because child services were coming to the house to look around.  He fell for his mothers trick and after that things went back to normal.

chapter 5-the accident

David is explaining how he got used to being his mother's slave and the normal punishments he would receive.  This chapter is about one day when his mom wanted him to clean the dishes she'd threaten to kill him if he didn't apperently she got tired of her not doing anything and decided to stab him.  after she cleaned his wound and still made him do the dishes.  This woman is sick. 

chapter 4-the fight for food

David describes the incidents of getting caught stealing food or begging for food from neighbors.  His mother would make him throw up and eat it.  His father began to just sit back and watch.  All of these events are just so horrible you can't even imagine it.  I feel so bad for this kid!

David is talking about how his mother refused to feed him for days and how he would steal food from other kids' lunchboxes before school.  He always got caught though and his principal called his mother which meant more beatings.  This book is absolutey crazy! it's so interesting but disturbing at the same time!

Alice continues talking to humpty dumpty about poems and words and everything like that and she keeps talking to him for some reason i don't know why though because he's really rude!!!!

Alice is swimming on the banks with a sheep in a boat and then they go back to his shop and alice asks to buy an egg then the egg turns into humpty dumpty and it turns out he's very easily offended, and really rude and he's very argumentative!  

chapter 5-wool and water

Alice leaves the twins and finds the white queen and she's talking to her about living backwards in other words remembering things before they happen.  Alice doesn't quite understand but it seems she doesn't understand anything in wonderland!!! she's kind of stupid if you think about it.

chapter 4-tweedledum and tweedledee

Alice walks out of the wood with all the insects in it and comes across the wood where tweedledee and tweedledum live.  They start talking to her and then they start dancing together.  After they tell alice the famous story of the carpenter and the walrus.

chapter 3-the looking-glass insects

Alice leaves the queen after playing chess with her and then finds herself talking to all these insects one in particular: the Gnat.  He is telling her about all the different kinds of insects and what they live on. For example the bread-and-butterfly which lives on weak tea with cream in it.  I thought this part was really cute :)

Alice is still talking to her kitten and she wishes there was a looking-glass house and you could just run through a looking-glass and get there.  And she did! so Alice is in the house and she reads the poem the white king wrote about the jabberwock which was kind of confusing but whatever.

Alice is sitting on her armchair half asleep and half talking to herself when her kitten unravels the ball of yarn she just made.  Now she's talking to the cat....it's really weird.

chapter 12-alices evidence

Alice is in court watching the trial on who stole the tarts when all of the sudden she is called to the witness stand.  She tells the queen that it's not important that somebody stole the tarts and she starts arguing with the king and queen and the jury.  This part is very true to the movie...or the movie is true to the book.

chapter 10-the lobster quadrille

so Alice is talking with the mock turtle and the gryphon and they're talking about the lobster quadrille which is some sort of dance.  They show alice the dance and then talk more about nonsense stuff.  then all of the sudden the queen comes for the trial of who stole the tarts?

chapter 8-the queens croquet-ground

Ok so alice is in the garden watching the gardeners paint the roses red and the queen comes along and asks alice to play croquet when the Cheshire Cat shows up.  This part of the book is very true to the old cartoon movie theres alot of things that aren't true to the book though.

chapter 7- a mad tea party

so alice is having tea with the mad hatter and the march hare and they are saying stuff that doesn't make sense and its absolutely rediculous so she gets up and leaves.  Then she walks a bit more until she sees a tree with a door in it.  she opens the door and finds herself back in the hallway with the key to the garden.  It turns out that the beautiful garden is really the queens.

chapter 7- a mad tea party

so after alice talks to the cheshire cat she walks to the March hare's house and sits down to have tea with him and the mad hatter.  Then they all start talking about crazy stuff...it was really wierd.

chapter 3-a caucys race and a long tale and chapter 4-the rabbit sends in a little bill

so in the first chapter alice comes across these animals who are debating on a trial case sort of thing.  After that alice is supposed to give prizes to all the winners.  Then the mouse who she was talking to earlier told her his tale.  In the next chapter she comes across the rabbit again and he tells her to go get him his white gloves and a fan from his house because he mistook her for his housemaid.

chapter 2-The pool of tears

Ok so Alice just keeps talking to herself and crying all at the same time...then she sees the white rabbit go by.  This whole chapter is just really short and random!

Chaper 1-down the rabbit-hole

So this book starts off really weird.  Alice sees this white rabbit hop by and he's A TALKING RABBIT and he's WEARING CLOTHES....and she thinks nothing of it, likes it's normal and she just follows it into its hole were she falls for miles and miles and miles.....

chapter 13-the fight at anvard

This whole chapter pretty much just explains the whole fight between prince Rabadash and the Narnians.  It's pretty boring.  Oh but the Narnians win and at the end of the battle he is found hanging 2 feet above the ground kicking and screaming.  That's probably the best part of the whole book even though I haven't finished it yet.

so shasta is in narnia and he finds all his little woodland friends.  Then he stays with the drawfs for a little bit and the next day he wakes up ad finds all the royal people in a march going to cair paravel.  They need to get away from prince rabadash! 

chapter 11- The unwelcome fellow traveler

So Shasta sets out to find King Lune and he does.  Bree wakes up the next morning and feels ashamed of himself for being afraid of the lion. this part was really confusing and I didn't really understand it

chapter 10-the hermit of the southern march

So they all finally made it into archenland and they hear the princes army coming.  Immediately they start running because they needed to get to king lune before the prince did.  Then all of the sudden a lion attacks aravis! I don't know it was all really random but I guess something bad had to happen.  But yeah they stayed with the hermit for a night.

chapter 9-across the desert

So after Aravis and her friend lasaraleen escape the Tisroc's little conversation about planning his sons death, they escape the castle and aravis finds shasta and picks up bree and hwin, the talking horses. Then they start their long journey across the desert always dismounting and mounting to get off the horses and walk.

So Aravis is trying to escape the town of tashbaan to meet up with Shasta at the tombs so they can being their journey all the way to Narnia.  However she gets separated and must find a way to get out of her situation.  Her and her friend both sneak into the Tisroc's conference room because it's the only way to escape without being noticed and find themselves trapped when the Tisroc himself come in with his son to talk.  Personally I don't see why they couldn't have just walked out the front door.

chapter 4- Shasta falls in with the Narnians

So after Shasta is picked up by the Narnians, he is asked many questions about where he was and how he escaped.  Shasta has no idea on how he supposed to escape and go to the tombs.  Anyways the kings and queens stop asking him questions they start talking about this prince rabadash and how he wants to marry queen susan.  It's all kind of confusing.

chapter 4- Shasta falls in with the Narnians

The goal was to get through this big city called Tashbaan and to not be noticed.  However they kept having to stop when going through the richer part of town because important people would pass by often.  Unfortunatley they dont make it out of the city because Shasta is taken by the royal Narnians passing by.  They mistake him for the kings son because apperently he ran away too.  that really sucks because I wanted them to make it to Narnia all together.

Chapter 3-At the Gates of Tashbaan

So I understand what's going on now Shasta meets this other girl and this other talking horse. The other girl tells her story about how she used to live in this place with her horrible stepmother and how she was going to married to this guy whose like 60 years older than her and disgusting so she ran away to kill herself and then her talking horse talked her into going to narnia...so she did.

Chapter 2-A wayside adventure

So in this chapter, Shasta and Bree (the talking horse) are traveling for a few weeks and they come across two others that are also talking horses from Narnia....It was a bit of a chase before they actually started talking, it was kind of hard to follow

chapter 1-how shasta set out on his travels

So at the end of this chapter Shasta discovers that the great lord wants to take him away with him.  Shasta is excited and wonders if his new master will be great and mysteriously the horse over hears him and says he is not.  Astonished, the horse tells shasta all about how he is narnia and  how he wants to be free so him and shasta decide to run away.

This is a keeper! The story starts out as this poor fishermans son who is beaten and how he is so mistreated and all he wants to do is travel north to see whats out there.  then a really important "lord" comes to the house and asks for hospitality and then he asks about buying the boy from the fisherman. 

frankenstein chapter 1

Ok so this book is like super hard to follow since its all written in like an old 19th century language...i dont know but its weird.  The first chapter is about this guys life and how his mother and father met and how he met his crazy amazing sister who not really his sister, she was an orphan who the family adopted.  I don't think i'll be reading this book again it's just a temporary one until I have more time to find a book I like.  

chapter 9-the writing on the wall

Harry is coming back from nearly headless nicks deathday party when he starts hearing the voice of something saying its going to kill.  Harry follows the voice only to discover Mrs. Norris and writing on the wall saying that the chamber of secrets has been opened again. He ron and hermione were all discovered at the scene of the crime. its a shame they just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.  

chapter 8- deathday party

So Nearly Headless Nick invites Harry, Ron and Hermoine to his deathday Party and what that is basically like a birthday party for dead people its celebrating the day they died.  However, Harry, Ron and Hermione all would much rather be at the Halloween feast.  I think I would much rather be too because all the food and the music and the guest are all...well not what they expected.

chapter 7- mudbloods and murmurs

Ok so this whole chapter starts by the slytherins taking the field from the gryffindors. they all soon learn that Malfoy is the slytherin seeker.  Hermione says that slytherins shouldn't have to buy their way into the team and then malfoy called her a mudblood.  thats just a dirty name to call someone.  It's like calling someone nigger here.  just another reason why I hate Draco Malfoy  

chapter 22-owl post agian

basically this whole chapter was about the after thoughts of harry and hermiones adventure to save sirius and buckbeak. oh and lupin resigned as the defense against the dark arts teacher because stupid snape let it slip that he was a werewolf. i hate snape.
